Description:

ECT News Network seeks a technology editor with a minimum of three years professional experience and in-depth tech industry knowledge. This is a full-time position in our Encino, California, offices -- Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 4 pm. Nonsmokers only, please.

The ideal candidate for this position must demonstrate a genuine interest in the companies, people and trends that drive the tech industry.

Candidates must be able to edit news and feature articles quickly and accurately for a sophisticated audience of technology executives and professionals.

The position requires proficiency in AP style, outstanding grammar skills, and the ability to edit at various levels -- from proofreading to copy editing to making developmental revisions. Writing news stories is occasionally required. Other responsibilities include crafting feature topics and making assignments to writers, assisting in the recruitment of freelance reporters, and acquiring contributed content from industry analysts and executives.

Salary ranges from $50K to $60K, depending on level of experience, with top pay for journalists/editors who have experience working for other industry leaders.
