Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced copy editor. This position is a flexible, work from home style opening for the right individual. Must be self motivated and task oriented.

General Duties Include:

* Copyedits manuscripts (electronic or paper), checking for errors in spelling, punctuation, consistency, clarity and adherence to style and specs. Fact-checks articles against original research as supplied by writers. Marks errors, changes, and queries using track changes for Word files. Checks edited pages to confirm that corrections are made. Ensures that all parts of each job are together while working and then routes to next production group.
* Working with variable, daily production deadlines, performs copyediting, formatting, fact-checking, and proofreading tasks for print and online products.
* Communicates with publication editors, designers and coordinators regarding production schedules. Communicates with supervisor and publication editors regarding style queries. Adheres to established deadlines.
