Description:

Proofread electronic and/or hard copy edited manuscripts and typeset copy, as assigned.

Proof for style and correctness in meeting product specifications and perform multiple tasks designed to support the editorial process. Tasks may include, but are not limited to, record keeping, answer key verification, old-to-new proofreading, quality checks, etc. They maintain accurate records for assigned work and/or support the record-keeping process.

Proofreads and corrects manuscripts, typeset copy, and printers' proofs for style and correctness in meeting specifications

Performs quality checks

Does preliminary research, including fact checking and verification

Supports the creation of typesetter specifications, as needed

Maintains records of all production phases of assigned projects, including flow of manuscripts through all phases of the publishing/production process

Proofread electronic and/or hard copy edited manuscripts and typeset copy
